What are Skin Peels?

Skin peels are acidic solutions used to resurface and rejuvenate the skin by triggering the natural skin’s repair processes. The peels elicit a rapid increase of the natural exfoliation process and stimulate change deep within the skin to reveal renewed, rejuvenated and clearer appearance.

Various peels are used to harness their specific chemical properties to obtain the desired results. The degree of peeling depends on the concentration and type of product used, the length of time left on the skin or number of layers applied. Depending on the specific skin condition and desired result, the qualified Dermal clinicians at Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre will choose the appropriate peel to suit your needs.

What are Skin peels used for?

Skin peels can be used to rejuvenate the skin, thus reducing sun damage, improving fine lines, hyperpigmentation (brown marks), thickened, uneven skin and can effectively treat acne and problematic skin conditions in conjunction with other modalities used at Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre.
