The carbon dioxide laser treatment, commonly also referred to as a CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, is often used to treat skin that has been damaged by chronic sun exposure, reduce lines and wrinkles, reduce hyperpigmentation, and stimulate collagen to improve skin texture and tightness.
The 10,600nm wavelength of the CO2 laser is attracted to the water within the skin. As water is one of the primary components of our skin, the laser vaporises layers of skin. The vaporisation of the tissue assists in the skin resurfacing and repairs signs of ageing and sun damage.

The 1540nm non-ablative fractional laser creates deep microchannels within the skin whilst the ablative CO2 10,600nm removes the tiny ablative dots of tissue. This technology harnesses the benefits of the non-ablative 1540 and the ablative 10,600nm CO2 lasers to change the surface as well as the deeper collagen layer.
