Fractora - RF Fractional

Fractora is the most advanced fractional resurfacing treatment using radio frequency (RF) technology providing amazing anti-aging solutions for skin tone, texture, laxity as well as for scars. This innovative combination technology offers optimal results for all skin tones. The Dermal clinicians at Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre are pioneers in the use of this innovative technology which harnesses RF energy to achieve fractional resurfacing whilst simultaneously providing dermal and sub dermal skin tightening.

Q & As

What skin conditions is Fractora fractional RF technology suitable for?

Fractora is used to treat fine lines, deep wrinkles, scars, capillaries, redness, uneven skin texture and pigmentation irregularities.

Changes in the skin surface allows for improvements in skin colour, evenness, texture and refinement. The deep tightening effect results in smoother, more radiant skin, reducing crepiness particularly effective for ‘mummy tummy’, loose skin on the neck and tightening facial features including the eye area.

Fractora is also extremely effective for scar reduction; all scars including surgical, traumatic and acne scarring. At Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre scarring is treated with individualised programs incorporating the Fractora system in combination with other exclusive Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre procedures. All procedures performed by the Melbourne Laser & Aesthetic Centre dermal clinicians are uniquely tailored on a case by case basis.

How does Fractora work?

Fractora delivers radio frequency energy to the skin through an array of micro probes producing micro lesions of ablation. The effect of the micro lesions on the surface triggers the skin’s natural repair offering a milder alternative to laser resurfacing. The Fractora micro probes have also a deeper effect by transmitting heat within the dermal and sub-dermal tissue promoting collagen stimulation and restructuring for skin rejuvenation, scar remodelling and an improved tighter appearance in the skin.

The methodical scattering of micro columns allows the skin to heal quickly, with the majority of repair taking place in the dermis. Return to work within 12 – 48 hours depending on treatment intensity.

How long is the downtime?

Fractora’s unique system offers patients the option for less invasive settings which offer minimal redness and downtime to more intensive settings for patients wanting faster results. A series of 3 to 6 treatments is recommended with intervals of 4 to 6 weeks or 8 to 10 weeks depending on the chosen intensity of treatments.

Fractora fractional RF treatment can also be combined with Fractora Firm either prior to Fractora fractional or by itself for deep tissue and skin tightening. See Skin tightening
